The Warrior Collection - Inspiration, Design, & History

The Warrior Collection is inspired by armor and the idea that our jewelry becomes our modern armor making us feel like our most empowered selves.

It was designed during a time when I felt extremely disempowered. I wanted to a daily reminder to come from an empowered state and make steps towards my potential without fear.

The Warrior Collection embraces shield-like forms and textural elements that stack up like protective layers to give off the essence of armor without being too literal.

Onyx and garnet add further meaning to the talisman-like properties of these pieces.

This collection is intentionally designed to you make you feel more powerful, more confident, and more like the master of your own future, as each piece is a protective amulets help you to "warrior up" in your daily life.

Etruscan Bronze Breastplate

When designing this collection, I looked at ancient Etruscan armor as a starting place for visual inspiration. The Etruscans adorned their armor with a bumped texture as a decorative element (seen above). I was particularly struck that even in ancient times, thousands of years ago, civilizations took the time to make their armor just as decorative as it was protective.

To me it felt like the line between armor and adornment was inherently linked and that it was important for warriors to feel a certain way when they went into battle. I wanted to convey that same feeling in the Warrior Collection.

In modern times we still connect what we adorn ourselves with to how we feel. 

Who else feels like their jewelry is a form of armor?

Or, a protective talisman of sorts or something that makes you feel strong, confident, and like your most empowered self?

The Warrior Collection was designed with this idea in mind. Each piece has a particular intention and was created to make you feel more powerful, more protected, and more prepared to take on the day. 

Protective stones such as garnet and onyx are incorporated into the collection to offer protection when embarking on difficult journeys and to absorb and transform negative energy.

Bracelets are meant to stack up like protective layers, necklaces hold special protective properties, and rings are bold but simple, powerful yet understated modern armor for the everyday.
